Academics
To meet the needs of the average to gifted student, the school provides a basic structured educational program supplemented by additional qualified teachers for French, Science Lab, Computer Science, Music and Physical Education. In addition, all classrooms are equipped with computers and high-speed internet access. The Computer lab houses state-of-the-art computers. A Junior Great Books program is also an integral part of the curriculum.

Since its founding in 1938, the school has held to the belief that the foundation to an excellent education must be built on basic skills in reading, writing, mathematics, natural sciences and social development. With highly personal and individual attention, the North Shore student leaves well equipped intellectually and emotionally to succeed in higher educational institutions, including some of the most competitive.

Faculty
Our faculty is highly qualified and has an average of over ten years of classroom teaching experience. We have an 8:1 student to teacher ratio so students can have the individual attention parents should expect from a quality institution. Our faculty and staff are always available to parents and are encouraged to regularly communicate with parents.

An Athletic Program That
Encourages Participation
At North Shore the healthy physical development of all the students is the goal. Group participation is stressed, as is sportsmanship. It is the school's aim to foster a desire among all students, whatever their athletic abilities, to participate in sports and games with a sense of joy and accomplishment.

Enrollment
The student body is drawn from a diverse mix of ethnic backgrounds and is limited to 150 students. The school offers an intensely individualized approach to learning with a teacher to student ratio of approximately 1:8. Meals
The school offers a healthy, nutritious lunch, however students may bring their own lunch if desired.
